How PhotoViewer handles photos, local settings, purchases and support requests.
The controller responsible for personal data in connection with PhotoViewer is:
Torsten ScharrerPhotoViewer requires no user account. The app contains no advertising, third-party analytics, behavioral tracking or developer-operated media servers. The developer does not receive your photo library, profiles, PIN, viewing history or trial status.
PhotoViewer accesses the Apple Photos library only after you grant permission. Media is displayed on the device and is not uploaded to the developer. Full or limited access can be changed in iPhone Settings at any time.
For iCloud Photos, iOS may download content from Apple according to Apple settings and the network rule selected in PhotoViewer. Apple's privacy terms apply to iCloud.
Profiles, album identifiers, filters, slideshow options, app language, usage duration and other preferences are stored locally on the device. A custom PhotoViewer PIN and timestamps protecting the one-time seven-day Plus trial are stored in the iOS Keychain. PhotoViewer does not transmit these values to the developer.
The trial record prevents unlimited new trials by deleting and reinstalling the app on the same device. It is not used for advertising, tracking or profiling.
When enabled, iOS performs confirmation with Face ID, Touch ID or the device passcode entirely on its own. PhotoViewer only learns whether authentication succeeded and cannot read or store biometric data or the device passcode.
PhotoViewer Plus is purchased and restored through Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes payment and Apple Account data. PhotoViewer only evaluates Apple-verified entitlement information required to unlock Plus.
Network access is used only for Apple services such as iCloud Photos and StoreKit, and after a deliberate choice for website or email links. PhotoViewer has no developer-operated analytics or media upload service.
If you contact support, the information you voluntarily provide is used to respond. The app can prepare version, build number and iOS version; the message is sent only after you confirm it in your email app.
You can revoke Photo access in iPhone Settings, remove local app data by deleting the app and contact the controller about a support message you sent. Keychain records may remain on the device after reinstalling as intended by iOS.
This policy may be updated when functionality or legal requirements change.
